As if to portray the portrait of an extraordinary woman, but vibrant with sensuality, it recently became Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Intense. Its lavender, sweeter, reveals the irresistible personality of a carnal and charismatic woman. To highlight the splendor of its fragrance, Guerlain has chosen to accompany its fragrance with a new advertisement. My Guerlain Eau de Parfums Intense takes us to the heart of Cambodia.

Why did you choose Cambodia as a filming location?

While Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Intense is more an ode to lavender, a Mediterranean flower, Guerlain has chosen to shoot its advertising direct from Cambodia. This choice, although surprising, was not made at random… In fact, since the release of Mon Guerlain, Angélina Jolie is its muse. However, the actress has a special relationship with this country. Particularly attached to this Asian land, Angélina Jolie obtained dual American-Cambodian nationality in 2005 from King Norodom Sihamoni. It is also in this country that Angelina Jolie adopted her first son, Maddox, in March 2002. To immerse ourselves in the heart of Cambodian lands is thus to glimpse the intimacy of the muse of Guerlain.

Pour réaliser ce spot publicitaire, la maison Guerlain s’est également entourée de l’un des meilleurs talents du cinéma actuel : Emmanuel Lubezki. Photographe mexicain, il a remporté  l’oscar de la meilleure photographie, et est même le seul à l’avoir eu trois années consécutives. Emmanuel Lubezki peut se vanter d’avoir participé à quelques-uns des plus grands films du cinéma mondial, comme The Revenant, Gravity, The Tree Of Life ou encore Le fils de l’homme, pour n’en citer que quelques-uns. Ici, il a choisi d’entrecouper des images des paysages cambodgiens à de multiples portraits d’Angélina Jolie. Dans un esprit plus enjoué et rock ‘n’ roll que pour le précédent Mon Guerlain, la scène se joue sur le son de “Wild Thing” de The Troggs, extrait de l’album “From Nowhere… The Troggs” de 1996.
